Preparation Instructions for Our Goose
Give your roast goose the perfect finishing touch at home.
Dumplings – Preparation Time: ~25 min.
Start by boiling water for the dumplings before putting the goose in the oven.
Place the potato dumplings in rapidly boiling, salted water (at least 500ml water per dumpling).
Boil for at least 10 minutes before reducing the heat to let them simmer.
The dumplings are ready after 25 minutes but can stay in the water for an extra 10-15 minutes.
Side Dishes – Preparation Time: ~25 min.
Red cabbage, kale, and gravy can be heated in a coated pot or microwave-safe dish (~25 min).
Alternatively, warm them in their original packaging in a water bath (~35 min).
Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
Roast Goose – Preparation Time: 35 min.
Place the whole goose (breast-side up) or quartered pieces (skin-side up) on a baking tray.
Add 1 tbsp (10ml) of water to the tray.
Preheat the oven to 160°C (convection) and roast for 10 minutes.
Increase heat to 230°C and roast for 25 more minutes until crispy.
Check crispiness; extend cooking time if needed (especially when heating multiple geese).
