Goose with Side Dishes & Red Wine

A whole Polish goose (fresh weight approx. 5000g) with side dishes & a bottle of red wine.

Ready in just 35 minutes - hot and crispy from your oven.

Red Cabbage 700g

Goose Gravy 500ml
Potato Dumplings 8 x 125g
Red Wine 0.75l bottle (selected by our wine merchant)

Ingredients for Goose:
Whole goose, salt, pepper, apples, onions, mugwort, and selected spices.

Preparation Instructions:

Dumplings (25 min preparation time):

  • Start boiling water for dumplings before roasting goose

  • Cook in rapidly boiling salted water (500ml per dumpling) for 10 minutes

  • Simmer for 15 minutes (can remain in water 10-15 minutes longer)

Side Dishes (25 min preparation time):

  • Heat red cabbage, kale and gravy in pot or microwave (stir occasionally)

  • Alternative: warm in original packaging using water bath (35 min)

Roast Goose (35 min preparation time):

  1. Place goose breast-side up on baking tray with 1 tbsp water

  2. Roast at 160°C (convection) for 10 minutes

  3. Increase temperature to 230°C for 25 minutes until crispy

  4. Check doneness, extend cooking time if needed
